DEFENSIVE PISTOL CLASS LEVEL 1

DURATION
OVERVIEW

This course is approximately 6 hours.
 

What you’ll learn:

• Safe draw and holster techniques: Master drawing and recovering to the holster with a focus on safety, muzzle awareness, and trigger discipline.

• Target engagement: Accurately engage multiple targets at distances up to 25 yards.

• Stress-inoculation drills: Test your mental resilience and decision-making through scenario-based exercises.

• Intro to angles and room defense: Gain an understanding of angles and single-room defensive tactics.

• Fighting from diminished positions: Learn to fight from compromised positions — be ready to get physical and get dirty!

• Handling outside stressors: Develop the ability to maintain composure and situational awareness under external pressures.

At the end of this course, you'll walk away with a solid foundation for continued defensive pistol training and a deeper understanding of real-world defensive shooting concepts.

COST

The price for this course is $225.00  At the time of booking, we secure a deposit and the balance is due at the beginning of class.
 

LEGAL REQUIREMENTS

You must have a valid Michigan CPL.
 

EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

This training course is specifically designed for a novice/ intermediate carrier.  A proper working knowledge of your firearm and quality holster are REQUIRED. Soft holsters are NOT allowed.
Only holsters with full trigger guard covering, that are of good quality and retain the firearm under movement are allowed. 
NO EXCEPTIONS.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

Students should be in reasonably good health, but with advanced notice of physical limitations or special needs, we can and will make what accommodations we can. 

EQUIPMENT LIST

Semi-automatic pistol with at least 2 magazines (4 preferred)
QUALITY holster specific to your firearm
While not required, you may run a 'rig' or battle belt setup
Safety glasses
Brimmed hat
Hearing protection
Closed - Toe shoes or boots

Weather appropriate clothing (Dress in Layers)
Snacks and drinks. (Light refreshments will be provided)

 

AMMUNITION REQUIREMENTS

300-400 Rounds of appropriate ammunition for your firearm
NO RELOADS or REMANUFACTURED ammo
